Take a scenic drive along the Burr Trail Scenic Backway in the USA discovering memorable places with sweeping views. Utah can boast with stunning 67-mile back road. This fascinating road branches off the Scenic Byway 12. It was originally laid by John Atlantic Burr to move herds from winter to summer ranges.

Stretching from Boulder the road leads through the western section of Capitol Reef National Park connecting Boulder and Bullfrog. It is kept in good condition and almost entirely paved but at some places the road gets narrow and dirt. This lovely back road features incredibly fascinating red rock formations. Then it enters the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Sometimes it seems the road is so remote because you can meet just a few cars for a couple of hours. The serene and quiet atmosphere makes this destination extremely charming.

A canyon might be called a cradle of secrets and mysteries. The Long Canyon is a truly magnificent treasure to explore. Be impressed by the gorgeous landscape driving between the Circle Cliffs. Enjoy the Long Canyon Overlook with sweeping views of the mountains in the distance and incredible Chinle Hills of colorful clay. Just take a break and you can discover a small but pretty attractive Singing Canyon slot.

The road runs a long way down when you encounter thrilling Burr Trail Switchbacks. This great experience you will hardly forget. It offers truly scenic driving and the best time to do it begins in mid-spring until the late fall. Be enchanted by sandstone rocks, massive and spectacular canyons, sharp curves, the wide diversity of greenery and more. In such moments you want to go quiet slowly to soak up the unique and photographic landscapes.
