Hwange and Zambezi National Park are two of the most renowned wildlife destinations in Africa, renowned for their diverse and abundant animal populations. Both parks offer visitors the opportunity to witness a wide array of species in their natural habitats, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelopes. Hwange National Park is particularly known for its large herds of elephants, while Zambezi National Park is famous for its proximity to the majestic Victoria Falls and its diverse birdlife. Our filmmaker, Robert Hofmayr, shared some insights into the making of this captivating wildlife footage. He primarily relied on a Red V-Raptor camera and a Canon 200-400mm lens to capture stunning close-ups of the animals in their natural habitats. Aerial shots, offering a breathtaking perspective of the vast landscapes, were captured using a Mavic Air 3s drone. Hofmayr’s expertise and the powerful equipment he employed resulted in the stunning visuals that bring the African wilderness to life in this remarkable video.
