More than just a scenic trek, the Tolmie Peak Lookout Trail is steeped in history, woven into the fabric of the park’s past and present. Back in 1933, during the Great Depression, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) undertook the task of constructing a fire lookout atop Tolmie Peak. This rustic structure, perched at 5,300 feet, served as a vital sentinel for decades, offering early warnings of potential wildfires and leaving an enduring mark on the park’s legacy.

Despite a brief detour, he conquered the challenges, carefully navigating the trail’s rocky terrain. This experimental expedition saw him and his assistant Mykhailo Feshchak filming with four cameras simultaneously, including the powerful GoPro Hero 10 Black for daylight scenes and seamlessly transitioning to the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 as the colors started to darken.
