Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”), is a breathtaking waterfall located on the Zambezi River, between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is one of the world’s largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 meters (5,604 feet) and a height of 108 meters (354 feet). The falls create a spectacular sight, with a massive sheet of water cascading over a basalt cliff and forming a cloud of mist that can be seen from miles away. Our filmmaker, Robert Hofmayr, shared some insights into the making of this film. He primarily captured footage using a Red V-Raptor camera and a Canon 200-400mm lens, ensuring stunning clarity and detail. Aerial shots were taken with a Mavic Air 3s drone, providing a unique perspective on the breathtaking landscapes.
